The article is obviously 3 years old (and you have clearly not read more than the title) - at that time Grommet (v1) was fairly popular and with a public roadmap of moving to v2.
My article is about this Grommet v2 product, which was actually never compatible with v1, regardless of all the public promises.
Now 3 years later - in retrospective I had to drop the product/startup that I had at the time and let go of 5 developers. Probably not all due to the misinformation spread at the time with Grommet v2, but it also had a large part in this.
I am sure Grommet v2 is a nice product, and I understand you like it. If they had simply deprecated Grommet and launched v2 as a different name, I would not have wasted so much time and resources.
In any case I wish you and Grommet v2 all the best going forward.
